The Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) is the largest research institution in Lithuania, carrying out unique research and development works. Here, not only high-level science is developed, but also modern technologies that benefit business and society are being created.
The process of knowledge and technology transfer takes place in cycles. Most of the research results are transmitted through student training, publication of articles, seminars and consultations, industry-sponsored research and programs. The innovation cycle begins with the disclosure of research results, the evaluation of their commercial use, the protection of intellectual property, marketing and the discovery of license users, their selection, the conclusion of license agreements, commercialization, and ends with royalty revenues, which continue to be invested in new research.
The Innovation and Technology Service helps to recognize innovations, protect them and transfer them to various communities (businesses) while generating revenue for research support.
